Summer Culinary Internship

Our Innovation Group’s capabilities include brand building and new product development for world-class companies, including Pepsi, Frito-Lay, Hershey, Kellogg’s, Quaker, Wendy’s, Del Monte, and Taco Bell.
We are currently looking for outstanding undergraduate students (junior or above) in the areas of culinary, marketing, advertising, design,orcommunications fora full-time summer internship.
Candidates must be current students of a college or university.
The responsibilities of a Culinary Intern will include the following:
· Support SRG culinary project work, including culinary research, grocery shopping, kitchen setup, and kitchen prep
· Manage SRG’s chef database, communicating with chefs, updating accurate information, and coordinating meetings with chefs
· Lead SRG catering coordination, providing basic catering for SRG clients and managing SRG chef catering or client functions
· Manage SRG culinary resources, including cookbooks, magazines, and kitchen equipment
Minimum qualifications include excellent organizational and communication skills, strong initiative, and a deep interest in pursuing a career in culinary, brand innovation, advertising, design, or marketing. Candidate should also have basic kitchen experience, ideally in a professional kitchen or through professional culinary school, and should be able to independently prep and follow a recipe. Creativity, curiosity, and analytical skills are also important. Ideal candidates will have a strong academic background (please list GPA); strong interest in the culinary world; experience in the kitchen, including basic cooking and prep experience; and demonstrable Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ideal candidates will be able to work an average of 30–40 hours per week until mid-August. The hourly rate for this position is $11.
